The event dedicated to the awarding of the most iconic Italian wineries and wine companies took place on March 18 in Milan.
The project was announced at the Vinitaly 2024 exhibition in Verona, where 100 companies in the Italian wine industry competed for the title of the best, distinguished by their commitment to the principles of environmental and social sustainability, as well as brand reputation.
Bertinga is a young, international-spirited estate located in the iconic and highest-rated Chianti Classico commune of Gaiole in Chianti. It was created in 2014 by Maxim Kashirin and Anatoly Korneev (founders and owners of Simple Group) and has already received several prestigious awards. For example, in 2021, Gambero Rosso named Volta di Bertinga 2016 «the best Italian Merlot,» and in 2023, Volta di Bertinga 2019 was included in the top 10 best wines in Italy according to the leading Italian newspaper by circulation, Corriere della Sera, receiving 99 out of 100 possible points. This vintage also entered the world-famous annual rating «Top 100 Wines of The World 2022» by James Suckling, taking 27th place.
